Ingredients
- Turkey breast (3–4 lbs)
- Apple cider (2 cups)
- Brown sugar (1/4 cup)
- Apple cider vinegar (2 tbsp)
- Dijon mustard (1 tbsp)
- Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
- Cinnamon (1/2 tsp)
- Butter (4 tbsp)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat the turkey breast dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and sear the turkey breast until golden brown on all sides.
3. Transfer the turkey to a roasting pan and pour 1 cup of apple cider around it.
4. In a saucepan, combine the remaining apple cider with brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic, cinnamon, and optional cloves. Simmer until it thickens into a glaze.
5. Brush the glaze over the turkey and roast while basting every 15 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C), approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
6. Allow the turkey to rest for 10–15 minutes before carving.
Notes
If desired, add a few whole cloves to the glaze for a deeper spice note.
This recipe works great with bone-in or boneless turkey breast.
