Description

Experience the bold flavors of Cajun spices in these crispy chicken wings, perfect for game day, parties, or a fun weeknight dinner. A dip in ranch or blue cheese dressing rounds out this tasty treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Ranch or blue cheese dressing (for dipping)

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.

2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This will help them become crispy.

3. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

4. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them until they are well coated with the spice mixture.

5. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure they don’t overlap. This ensures even cooking.

6. Bake the wings in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, turning them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.

7. Remove the wings from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a serving platter.

8. Garnish the wings with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color.

9. Serve the Cajun spiced chicken wings hot, with ranch or blue cheese dressing as a dip.

Notes

Adjust the cayenne pepper to your desired level of spiciness; more cayenne will yield spicier wings.

For even crispier wings, you can broil them for an additional 2-3 minutes after baking.

These wings can also be cooked on the grill for a smoky flavor.

Cajun seasoning is a blend that usually contains paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and various other spices, and can be found pre-mixed at most grocery stores if you wish to save time.
