Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken breast, boneless and skinless
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon ground paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter, diced
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F and lightly grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish.
2. Place chicken between two pieces of plastic wrap and pound to 0.5 – 0.75 inch thickness.
3. Rub chicken breasts all over with olive oil.
4. Combine brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
5. Sprinkle seasoning mixture on both sides of chicken and rub in lightly.
6. Place seasoned chicken in the prepared casserole dish.
7. Top each chicken breast with a dab of butter.
8. Bake for 18–20 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
9. Optional: Broil for 1–3 minutes for a browned finish, watching carefully.
10. Serve immediately for best flavor and juiciness.
