Description

These Spicy Cranberry BBQ Meatballs are a flavorful combination of sweet and spicy, perfect as an appetizer or a main course. The cranberry BBQ sauce adds a festive twist to classic meatballs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha (or more to taste)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.

4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.

6. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sauce. In a saucepan, combine cranberry sauce, BBQ sauce, and sriracha. Heat over medium heat until simmering.

7. Once the meatballs are cooked, transfer them to the saucepan with the sauce. Toss to coat evenly.

8. Simmer for another 5-10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

9. Serve hot.

Notes

Serve these meatballs as an appetizer with toothpicks, or as a main course over rice or mashed potatoes. Garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color.
