Description

Strawberry Frosted Heart-Shaped Brownies combine rich, fudgy chocolate brownies with a sweet strawberry frosting. Perfect for Valentine’s Day or any celebration, these adorable treats are both festive and irresistibly delicious.

Ingredients

Scale

Brownie Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Strawberry Frosting Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon strawberry jam or puree
  • 12 teaspoons milk (as needed)
  • A few drops red or pink food coloring (optional)
  • Sprinkles (optional, for topping)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

2. In a large bowl, combine melted butter and granulated sugar and stir until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix well.

3. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until the batter is fully combined and smooth.

4. Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.

5. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

6. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan.

7. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut the brownies into heart shapes.

8. In a bowl, beat softened butter until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until smooth.

9. Mix in strawberry jam or puree and add milk as needed to reach desired frosting consistency. Add food coloring if desired.

10. Spread strawberry frosting over each brownie heart and top with sprinkles if desired.

Notes

For stronger strawberry flavor, add freeze-dried strawberries blended into a powder to the frosting.

Use leftover brownie scraps as toppings for ice cream or snack bites.
