Description

Cinnamon Roll Bliss Bars are a delightful dessert that combines the flavors of cinnamon rolls with a chewy, cookie-like base, topped with a creamy frosting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.

2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.

3. Add the eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.

4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

6. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.

7. In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and sugar for the topping, then sprinkle it over the batter.

8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

9. Let the bars cool completely before frosting.

10. For the frosting, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth, then spread over the cooled bars.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

For a richer flavor, add chopped nuts or raisins to the batter.

These bars can be frozen for up to 2 months; thaw before serving.
