Description
Crispy, cheesy, and garlicky grilled potatoes that make the perfect flavorful side dish for BBQs, family dinners, or gatherings.
Ingredients
- 4 medium Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes, sliced into rounds
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted (or olive oil)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or mozzarella)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh parsley or chives, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: bacon bits, sour cream, jalapeños, or extra herbs
Instructions
1. Wash and slice the potatoes into even rounds.
2. Toss the potatoes with melted butter or olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
3. Preheat grill to medium heat and place potatoes in a grill basket, foil packet, or grill pan.
4. Grill for 15–20 minutes, flipping occasionally, until potatoes are tender and slightly crispy.
5. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the potatoes during the last 3–5 minutes and cover the grill until melted.
6. Remove from grill, garnish with parsley or chives, and serve hot.
Notes
Slice potatoes thinly for crispier edges.
Add smoked paprika or red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
Try a blend of cheeses for a richer taste.
You can bake these in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 25–30 minutes if grilling is not an option.
