Description

Tender chicken glaze with a nutty sesame flavor, slow-cooked to perfection for a healthy, hassle-free weeknight meal.


Ingredients

Scale

1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
3 tablespoons sesame oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce (gluten-free if needed)
1 tablespoon honey
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/4 cup water


Instructions

Sear chicken in sesame oil in a pan until browned (optional for deeper flavor)
Transfer to crockpot
Mix soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and vinegar in a bowl
Pour sauce over chicken
Sprinkle with sesame seeds
Cook on low for 3-4 hours or high for 1.5-2 hours
Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl
Stir into crockpot in last 30 minutes of cooking
Garnish with additional sesame seeds before serving


Notes

Substitute chicken thighs with breast if preferred
Freezes well up to 3 months
Serve with cauliflower rice or sautéed spinach for a complete meal
