Description

Honey Hot Chicken Salad is a bold and flavorful meal packed with crisp romaine, fresh veggies, and tender chicken tossed in sweet honey garlic and spicy buffalo sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 chicken breasts, cooked and diced
  • 1/4 cup honey garlic sauce
  • 1/4 cup buffalo wing sauce or hot sauce
  • 2 heads romaine lettuce, chopped and washed
  • 3–6 tablespoons ranch dressing (or dressing of choice)
  • 1/2 medium red onion, diced
  • 1 large red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 large cucumber, diced
  • Shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, combine the cooked diced chicken with the honey garlic sauce and buffalo wing sauce. Toss until the chicken is fully coated.

2. In a large bowl, toss the chopped romaine lettuce with your desired amount of dressing.

3. Divide the dressed lettuce between two large bowls or plates.

4. Top with diced red onion, red bell pepper, cucumber, shredded cheese if using, and the honey hot chicken.

5. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

Homemade honey garlic and buffalo sauces are recommended for the best flavor.

You can use any cooked chicken such as rotisserie, grilled thighs, tenders, or even leftover turkey.

To make it vegan, substitute crispy tofu for the chicken, use vegan dressing, and omit the cheese.

Adjust the amount of hot sauce to control the spice level.

For meal prep, store ingredients separately and assemble just before serving.

Honey garlic sauce can be substituted with teriyaki sauce if preferred.
