Description

A bold and garlicky shrimp pasta tossed with Old Bay seasoning, lemon butter sauce, and linguine — a comforting seafood favorite ready in just 25 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning, divided
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Grated Parmesan (optional)
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

1. Cook pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.

2. In a bowl, toss shrimp with 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning, salt, and olive oil until evenly coated.

3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear shrimp for 1 to 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.

4. Reduce heat to medium and add butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.

5. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, red pepper flakes if using, remaining 1/2 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning, and reserved pasta water.

6. Add cooked pasta and shrimp back to the skillet and toss until everything is well coated and heated through.

7. Remove from heat and top with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan if desired. Serve hot with extra lemon wedges.

Notes

Add spinach or cherry tomatoes for extra color and nutrition.

Use gluten-free pasta if needed.

For a creamy version, stir in 1/4 cup heavy cream after sautéing the garlic.
